This attraction is not to be missed.

Throughout history, Fort Lovrijenac or St. Lawrence Fortress was paramount to the defence of the city. It was built sometime between the 11th and 14th century on a 37 metre high cliff face. Today it is occasionally used as an open-air theatre during the summer festival.

Lapad Beach is the city’s main beach and the perfect spot to take a load off and relax in the sun with an occasional dip in the Adriatic Sea. The beach is only 3,5km from the old town and there are a number of local restaurants for you to grab some lunch or even end a perfect beach day off with a delicious meal of local seafood.
