Norwegian Fjord Cruises

The Norwegian Fjords have captured the imagination of tourists, explorers, visitors and adventurers for centuries. The Glaciers, valleys, and high mountain regions of Møre & Romsdal, Sogn & Fjordane, Hordaland and Rogaland make up the majority of the west coast of Norway and is where the breath-taking Fjords of this beautiful country can be found.

Norway is rich in history, with myths about Vikings and stories of sea-faring explorers. The country is rugged and cold with some of the world’s most beautiful scenery. It’s a cruisers dream location owing to the enormous mountains and cliff faces that tower over the Fjords. Destination Overview

Big in Bergen

Bergen was established nearly 1000 years ago, and today is known as the City of the Seven Mountains. Bergen is Norway’s international centre of aquaculture and is the busiest port in the country. This beautiful and typically Norwegian city is most well-known for the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, its mountains, and exquisite fish market.

Spectacular Alesund

After a major fire in 1904 where much of the town was destroyed, a major rebuild occurred in the Art Nouveau style of architecture. This has given the town a unique character, and provides passengers cruising to Norway fantastic experiences for many years. This port town has become known for its Art Nouveau styled architecture, its beautiful fjords and the peaks of the Sunnmore Alps.

Gorgeous Geiranger

Geiranger is the gem of the Norwegian cruise world and lies within the Geiranger Fjord which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s one of Norway’s busiest cruise destinations. The scenery is breath-taking and the town is a quaint tourist village with only 5 hotels. Geiranger has been acclaimed as the best travel destination in Scandinavia by Lonely Planet.

Spectacular Stavanger

Stavanger is one of the largest cities in Norway and is responsible for sourcing oil, which is the main part of this city’s economy. However, the heart and soul of the city is the 18th and 19th century wooden homes which are considered a large part of its heritage. The city provides access to the picturesque Lysefjord, the Preikestolen which is an enormous cliff face offering tremendous views over the fjords, and the Kjerag mountains which rise 1110m above sea level.

Leaving from the port of Southampton in England, your cruise will deliver you to some of Norway’s finest ports and offer you the chance to thoroughly explore some of the world’s most beautiful Fjords.
